David Woolcock

David has worked in foreign exchange for 47 years, variously, as trader, chief dealer, treasury manager, and e-business head for a number of banks. He has also held senior sales and business development roles at a major FX platform and a solutions supplier to the FX industry. Having founded Derivative Consulting  as an FX advisory services and strategic counsellor to a broad reach of clients, including helping market participants commit to the FX Global Code. In addition, DCL provides expert witness and legal advisory services to litigants in the High Courts of Justice in England and Wales, and various other international jurisdictions. He was also a long-standing chair of the Committee for Professionalism of ACI – The Financial Markets Association, and vice-chaired the ACI FX Committee of which he was the founding member. In addition David served on the Market Participants Group at the BIS, which alongside the Central Banks, developed the FX Global Code.
